First time blogger

I am jumping in with two feet!!!  For the past 7 years I have said that I was going to create somewhere for my students to post announcements, feelings, summaries and such for others to read and respond to.  After watching all you wonderful first grade bloggers in blogging land I have finally decided to try it out!  It might totally flop but here goings nothing.  I am going to spend the summer learning the program so I will be ready to launch with the students the second week in August!  Any and all ideas or support would be wonderful.
